2017 Volkswagen Up GTI Concept

Paying tribute to the original MkI Golf GTI, the Volkswagen Up GTI is a near-production ready concept with compact dimensions, low weight, powerful engine and sports running gear. Weighing in at just a touch more than a Lotus Elise, the Up GTI is certainly light weight, so adding a little more power should make a great little pocket rocket. Volkswagen expects the production version to be available for the 2018 model year.

The most powerful Volkswagen Up to date will sport the recognisable GTI insignia with red GTI badges throughout and the red stripe with honeycomb grill at the front of the car. Double stripes across the wide side sill panels and blacked out side mirrors finish the GTI appearance pack. The wheels have been completely re-designed coming in at a size of 17-inch, and are complemented by the suspension being lowered by 15mm, giving the Up GTI a more purposeful stance.
