2019 Aston Martin Vantage

Aston Martin have delivered a brand new Vantage sports car for customers who put driving first. At the heart of the new Vantage is an AMG sourced 4.0l twin turbo V8 with the turbochargers placed inside the hot-vee for better packaging like all the other AMG cars out today. Total output is rated at 503 horsepower and 685 Nm of torque. The 2019 Vantage is an all new car compared to the previous generation, and uses the same platform architecture as the DB11 with over seventy percent new components including a new front and rear subframe. The chassis features new Skyhook dampers, upgraded springs and bushes with a more driving focused setup than that of the DB11. Aston are placing their entry level car as a true sports car.

The new design of the Vantage is a continuation of what first started with the DB11 and will move through to the new Vanquish which is due next. When compared to the DB11, the new Vantage has a more purposeful stance, with stronger athletic lines with an emphasis on aerodynamics. The look is very reminiscent of the one-off DB10 made for the ‘Spectre’ Bond film. The front is low and wide which tapers inwards along the flanks into the wide stance of the rear hips. The Vantage is a very important piece to the Aston Martin puzzle, with the previous generation selling 16,000 units over its 11 year run. This is Astons volume seller, with a lot to live up to.
