2014 Ferrari LaFerrari

Ferrari has taken the wraps off their newest halo car the V12 hybrid LaFerrari. This is the most highly anticipated limited edition car form the prancing horse since the Ferrari Enzo from 2002.

The project was named the F150, with the production name of LaFerrari meaning ‘The Ferrari’ in the sense that this is the definitive Ferrari. For the first time since the Dino 308 GT4 in 1973, Pininfarina had no involvement in the styling.

The power train was the first Ferrari road car to use a hybrid configuration of internal combustion engine and electric motor. The LaFerrari was not able to run on electric mode only, instead using the electric power to supplement the V12 to provide the best performance when needed.
