2018 Morgan Aero GT

Long standing independent auto maker Morgan have revealed their most extreme road-going model to date the Aero GT, set to be unveiled at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. Only 8 examples of the Aero GT will be built, with all already sold to customers waiting for their slice of the Morgan Aero history. The GT will signal the end of production of the Morgan Aero 8, which was revived in 2015 and will end in 2018.

Every Aero GT will feature a manual transmission connected to a BMW sourced N62 V8 that develops 367 hp and 361 lb-ft of torque. All owners of the Aero GT will be given the chance to individually customise their car with a consultation with Jon Wells, Morgan’s Head of Design. Each car will be a bespoke creation that will take 8-10 weeks to build.

Taking inspiration from Morgan’s 2009 GT3 race car, the Aero GT looks decidedly more aggressive and modern than the average Aero 8 model. A carbon fiber roof will be an option available to customers, that takes inspiration from 1960s race cars and even features a rearward facing roof vent.
