1965 saw the introduction of an all new Plymouth Fury built upon the Chrysler C-body platform. The 1965 model year included three special Fury's, the Fury I, Fury II, and Fury III, with the I being the base model, and each gaining a higher trim level with more features up to the III.
Engine options included a 225 cubic inch slant-6 and 4 V8's to choose from. The 440 cubic inch (7.2L) was the biggest available, followed by a 426 cubic inch (7.0L) "Street Wedge" V8, 383 cubic inch (6.28L) "B" V8 with 2 & 4 Barrel options and finally the 318 cubic inch (5.21L) "LA" V8. Transmission selection was either a 3 or 4-speed automatic or if you wanted to row you own gears a 3-speed manual.
