For the 2014 SEMA show this 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle received the Ringbrothers treatment, complete with the usual high powered V8, custom bodywork and impressive attention to detail. Starting with the motor, a Wegner Motorsports LS7 engine is paired with a Whipple supercharger which helps the V8 to a peak power output of 980 horsepower on 91 octane fuel. The fuel system uses a Holley Fuel Injection System to keep the fuel flowing and the exhaust makes use of Flowmaster mufflers to enhance the roar of the engine.
The Recoil name of the car is in reference to the brand new three-piece forged wheels made in conjunction with HRE. They measure 19x9 and 20x13 inches front and back respectively, and are wrapped with 275/35/19 tires up front and big 345/30/20 tires in the back. The interior is deigned to be race-ready with five point racing harnesses and Racepak gauge cluster in a custom billet housing. Entirely fabricated by hand, the interior spares no lack of detail, with several interior pieces meticulously hydro-dipped to match the carbon fiber found throughout the car.
The final colour is a custom BASF Glasurit 90-Line Waterborne paint color called “Sand Storm,” which is higlighted by custom, hand-laid carbon fiber panels and trim pieces.
