Description
The legendary NSX was a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive sports car powered by an all-aluminium V6 that was originally produced between 1990 and 2005 by Japanese automaker Honda. The V6 petrol engine featured Honda’s Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (VTEC) system and was known for it’s everyday usability and near supercar performance. Honda used it’s Acura brand to sell the NSX under in the United States, with the rest of the world getting a Honda badged version.
During it’s conception, the NSX’s chief engineers were given direct input from Formula 1 ace Ayrton Senna. This chassis was an all aluminium monocoque that was ultra-rigid and ultra-light with front and rear double wishbone suspension, forged control arms connected to forged alloy wheels. This combination resulted in a very potent track car, that was also very easy well mannered car to drive on the road.
