2023 Aston Martin AMR23

With double world champ Fernando Alonso on board and a brand-new factory coming online next year, Aston Martin are setting themselves up to be a serious contender in the mid to late 2020’s. The AMR23 will be the 27th and last Formula 1 car designed out of the existing factory which was home to Jordan, Midland, Spyker, Force India and Racing Point before the name change to Aston Martin. The new factory will be based at Silverstone with the team beginning the transition over sometime during 2023.

After Sebastian Vettel announced his retirement during the 2022 season, the F1 paddock was shocked when Alonso, a then driver for Alpine, jumped at the open seat at Aston. It marks the seventh time Alonso has switched teams and now places pressure on the team to deliver a strong package for their star driver.
