2010 Lotus Elise R

Lotus presents the Series 3 of the their Elise model with the release of the Elise R. Headlining the changes are new engines, gearboxes and headlights, enough for Lotus to consider it a new series car despite it not being a properly new generation.

The 1.8L inline 4 engine now delivers a peak power output of 189 hp with 180 Nm of torque, plenty to keep the light 2,061 lbs of weight going a ta good rate. Acceleration from 0-62 mph has been quoted as 5.4 seconds with a top speed of 138 mph.
