2018 Maserati GranCabrio Sport

Maserati have streamlined the GranCabrio line-up which now comes in just the two flavours, Sport and MC. Both share the same powertrain and interior appointments, with minor visual tweaks the only aspect remaining to separate to two. The engine is a 4.7L V8 weighing in at a light 175kg, hand-assembled by Ferrari in Maranello with Maseratis exclusive cross-plane crankshaft. This provides the distinctive Maserati sound with the free-revving, fast throttle response characteristics of a naturally aspirated engine.

The design of the GranCabrio was originally penned by the Pininfarina studio, and has stayed true to the form through its long life span. For the 2018 model year the Maserati Design Centre have treated that original design with respect moulding and caressing the GranCabrio into a slightly more athletic shape achieving better aerodynamic efficiency and compliance with the latest pedestrian safety regulations. Most of the changes are seen through the new front and rear bumpers and head lights.
