25 years after the release of the McLaren F1 LM, the British automaker is producing 5 Senna LM's specifically for the US market. Commissioned by McLaren Orlando and McLaren North Jersey, the Senna LM has been developed by McLaren Special Operations (MSO) with the same philosophy as the original F1 LM.
In 1995 the McLaren F1 GTR had the most successful debut in the history of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with 5 limited run LM's made to celebrate the achievement and honor Bruce McLaren's memory. Taking the upgrades of the tack only GTR, they converted the LM's to road legal spec to create a genuine race car experience on the road. Now the same formula has been applied 25 years later, taking Mclaren's current fastest track car the Senna GTR, and converting it into 5 road going examples.
Engine output has remained the same as the GTR, with peak power coming in at 825 PS (607 kW) from the 4.0L twin turbocharged V8. The quad exhaust tips have been tipped in satin gold and the engine bay features 24k gold heat shielding. OZ aluminum wheels and bespoke aero on the bodywork give the Senna LM a unique look which is topped off by the McLaren Orange paint livery.
