Description
Based on the Ibiza Cupra, Seat are planning for their new Ibiza SC Trophy to be homologated into a new one-make race series. The new single-brand championship is set to begin in 2012 with races to be held across Italy and Spain.
Like the Cupra model, the SC Trophy comes with a 1.4L inline 4 turbo engine that is tuned to deliver 178 hp whilst mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox. Things that are different include 40 mm lower suspension, 13mm extended wheelbase with widened front track, and a modified oil sump to cope with lateral forces better. The wheels are 17-inches in size and the body work features wider wheel arches, blanked off air ducts, hood pins and rear wing.
