Description

The Emory 356 C4S Allrad is essentially a highly customised Porsche involving placing a 1964 356C body over internals from a 1990 964-series Porsche 911 C4S. The story started with the owner of Independent Fabrications, a company which has produced high quality bike frames for the past 24 years, and his desire for a classic Porsche that could climb up to East Coast pistes in the winter.

To achieve this goal, he approached Rod Emory at Emory Motorsports who went about fulfilling this vision. The journey took 4 years to complete and required a lot of cutting and stretching of the 356C body to fit the existing suspension hardpoints of the 964. This means the rear haunches were widened and the transmission tunnel was shortened. K&W coilovers have been fitted at all four corners with 16-inch powder-coated wheels wrapped in Pirelli Ice Zero rubber keeping the Allrad on the road. The body is finished with a Graphite Blue Metallic colour.

The powerplant of choice is a 2.4L “Outlaw-4” Flat 4 engine that sits out the back and produces 200 PS (147 kW) of power. The engine features Dual Weber 48 IDA carbs, a cast-aluminum block, custom headers and a stainless steel muffler. The gearbox is a 5-speed manual unit sending power through differentials with manually-adjustable torque splits. These have the ability to send power fore and aft, and left and right independently.
