The Zenvo TSR-S (S standing for 'Street') is the road going version of the companies TSR race car, which Zenvo says is equally capable on the road and the track. As is becoming rather normal at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, the TSR-S has a spec sheet full of huge numbers that all sounds mighty impressive. The flat plane V8 is twin supercharged and comes with three different power modes. The minimum mode caps the power levels to 700 horsepower, the maximum mode unleashes the full 1,177 horsepower and the IQ mode continuously monitors the grip on offer and chooses the amount of power accordingly. The transmission is a seven-speed paddle shift unit that utilises helical-cut dog gears with a road and a race setting.
Acceleration times are impressive with 0-100 kph is done in just 2.8 seconds, 0-200 kph in 6.8 seconds and onwards to a limited top speed of 325 kph (202 mph). perhaps the main attraction of the car is the giant active rear centripetal wing. It can angle itself on a horizontal axis to provide minimal drag and move into an upright position for use as an air brake. That sort of active wing is nothing new, what is impressive is the ability to angle itself on a horizontal axis, which means the wing will lift on the side of the car that is cornering to create an inward force that generates push into the corner.
