For the 2018 model year, Jaguar have treated the XJR to a bump in power, with the 5.0L Supercharged V8 now producing 567 hp and 700Nm. Gone is the regular XJR name, replaced by the new XJR575 badge, hinting at the performance potential of the engine and continuing the trend of adding numbers to a cars name. The V8 is also available in non-R, long-wheelbase XJ but will be limited to 503 hp. Visually the 2018 model refresh gets full LED headlamps with J-blade daytime running lights, 20-inch alloy wheels and red painted brake callipers. The XJR575 will get the choice of two exclusive paint finishes in Satin Corris Grey or Velocity Blue.
Power is channelled through an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, with a 0-100 kph time of 4.4 seconds and 0-60 mph of 4.2 seconds. Top speed clocks in at a healthy 186 mph. For handling, Jaguar has used its advanced adaptive dynamics system across the range of the XJ with their all new ASPC (for All-Surface Progress Control) system as well. These combine to allow greater control and traction to suit all road conditions and driver demands.
