The Fiat Abarth 124 Spider now comes in a limited edition GT version, complete with a removable hard top roof made from carbon fiber weighing just 16 kilograms. This light weight ensures the 124's optimum 50:50 weight distribution remains intact. Removable in just a few steps, the hard top roof provides better thermal insulation and soundproofing when compared to the soft top 124 Spider.
All Abarth 124 GT's come fitted with the Record Monza Exhaust giving the car its recognisable Abarth sound, and a mechanical self-locking differential. Only three paint colours are available for the 124 GT, Portogallo 1974 Grey, San Marino 1972 Black and Turini 1975 White.
The 1.4L MultiAir Turbo engine remains the same as that found in the Abarth 124 Spider, producing a peak power output of 170 PS (125 kW) and peak torque figure of 184 lb-ft (250 Nm). Two transmission options are available with a 6-speed manual capable of delivering a 0-62 mph sprint in 6.8 seconds and a top speed of 144 mph. The other option is the 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters that will do the sprint slightly slower in 6.9 seconds, and has a reduced top speed of 142 mph.
