Puritalia Automobili have revealed their new super hybrid Berlinetta, combining traditional Italian craftsmanship with V8 power and the latest hybrid powertrain. Details about the powertrain remain scarce, but what we do know it that there is a front mounted V8 engine and hybrid electric motor setup that has been developed in-house at Puritalia Automobili.
The combined power figure from this hybrid system is a huge 978 PS (720 kW) with 920 lb-ft (1,247 Nm) of torque. These numbers are mighty impressive and even eclipse the previouc generation hypercars like the McLaren P1, LaFerrari and Porsche 918. The chassis comprises a carbon fiber tub and aluminium subframes, ensuring a perfect 50:50 weight distribution.
Production will run to 150 units, with each car produced to the owner’s exact specification. Buyers will have access to their own design team to help during the process of creating these bespoke creations.
