2018 Volkswagen Up GTI

Invoking memories of the original Golf GTI, the new Volkswagen Up! GTI targets the younger market with a compact, low weight and fuel efficient fun car. The power output nearly mirrors that of the Mk1 Golf GTI from 1976 which had 81 kW / 110 PS on tap. The Up! GTI gets slightly more power and torque with better fuel economy and emissions, all bundled up in a light weight package.

Getting the GTI badge also means gaining the GTI look along with it, and the Up! continues this trend. The classic red stripes on the front radiator grille, red brake callipers and “clark” tartan seat covers are all present and accounted for. The lower front air dams are enlarged and the bigger 17-inch alloy wheels sport a fresh new design.
