2022 Alfa Romeo Giulia SWB Zagato

Alfa Romeo have teamed up with Italian coachbuilder Zagato to create a special one-off Giulia. Inspired by the quirky looking 1989 Alfa Romeo SZ, the Giulia SWB Zagato is a hand-built creation that celebrates 100 years of collaboration between the two Italian brands. It features bespoke bodywork draped over the Giulia platform with a mix of both Giulia GTA and Quadrifoglio mechanicals.

Combining the 2.9L twin turbocharged V6 with a six-speed manual, Zagato chose to snub the usual eight-speed automatic option of the Giulia. The engine itself comes in GTA specification, utilising lighter internals and better cooling to increase power and torque.

But the real star of the show is the exterior styling with Zagato fitting a one-piece forward-opening clamshell for the forward section. The front-end design maintains the iconic Alfa triangular centre grille which is flanked by large openings that house the headlight fixtures. The rear end is wide with an upright tail that is framed by a single thin LED light strip which drapes from one side to the other. The twin exhaust tips are centrally mounted and Zagato’s signature double-bubble roof makes another appearance.
