2021 Alpine A521

New name, new management, new livery and the return of a world champion driver. Renault’s Formula 1 team is now called Alpine in a effort to align their motorsports program with the small sports car brand.

With a name change usually comes a new livery and colour scheme, and Alpine hasn’t disappointed for 2021. Gone is the yellow and black Renault colour combination, replaced by the blue, red and white colours that are meant to represent both the French and Great Britain flags. The new livery is certainly a looker, with a striking metallic blue complimented by the splashes of red and white in a constrained manner.

The 2021 season will see a lot of change for the team, who are beginning their sixth season since Renault came back to the sport. The pressure is on for success, and the decision to bring back 2 time world champion Fernando Alonso, whilst also reshuffling and changing key management positions means there is little time to settle into their new paradigm.
