Description
Alpine have revealed a significantly different race car for the 2024 Formula 1 season. After slumping to a sixth place in the 2023 championship, Alpine are changing things up with their car concept in an effort to avoid the inconsistent performance that plagued them last year.
The team have designed a completely new chassis with new rear suspension setup, optimised front suspension, a lighter gearbox, and improved thermal management. They are claiming the A524 uses an aggressive design philosophy that should provide a good performance base for the next 2 years until the new regulations come into force for 2026.
Drivers Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly will remain for 2024 with both displaying similar speed out on the track. That should keep the battle interesting between the two French drivers.
