2011 Gumpert Apollo S

A two-seater super sports car with mid engine arrangement, tube frame and integrated carbon safety cell, carbon car body, carbon/aluminium sandwich underbody and LED daytime running lights. The aerodynamic package is optimized for downforce with vortex generators, carbon rear wing, carbon louvers for wheel ventilation in the front and RAM Air System.

The engine is a twin turbocharged V8 capable of 740 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque figure of 900 Nm at 4,000 rpm. All this adds up to 180 hp per litre from the 4.2L unit. 0-100 kph acceleration takes 3.0 seconds and 0-200 kph is done in 8.8 seconds. Top speed is claimed to be 360 kph.
